Quirky place in a very good way. I arrived early evening and there were bikers everywhere (they weren’t in the accommodation part). The business happens to have a Thursday night social night for bikers and I’d arrived on a Thursday. Went in to the building and everyone was really friendly, staff and customers alike. So later I find out that they have the Thursday night thing, only during Summer and at 9pm it’s all finished. The premises are an amazing use of the building and spotless. They have a cafe, clothing store, motorcycle apparel and the accommodation upstairs. They also apparently customise motorcycles in an onsite workshop (which I didn’t see at all). SOOOO well run. Clearly good business people with a diverse, efficient and spotless set up. The accommodation is upstairs and the rooms are of a very high standard. Modern and well equipped. They have STUNNING motorcycles in the lounge/cafe area which look like they are display pieces but are actually for sale (new and shiny). I’m not making it sound very good I’m sure but a lovely find and you will feel welcome whoever you are. I’ll upload some pics.

I arrived late around 8pm in the evening - the owner was on site hosting a motorbike fraternity social evening (all quiet and over by 9pm) and I was helped every step of the way to find somewhere to park my car, shown where the entrance was to the rooms - above but separate to the shop and cafe which is really nice. I was a lone elderly lady (65) who had just finished helping my daughter move to the area, the rooms above the cafe were perfectly located for me at the end of a long tiring day of moving, the room itself was so well appointed and state of the art refurbished to a high level. Comfy bed, thoughtful touches with a carafe of water and a good air fan (it was a hot day) and a sitting room that I did not use for tea and coffee. Breakfast was selfservice downstairs in the cafe. Everyone was both helpful and very welcoming. As a non motorbiker I could not have been made more welcome or made to feel more at home. I will certainly be returning.

Neil, Matt and his team were excellent. Checked in before i arrived and simply went to my nice clean room using door codes provided to me. The tea and coffee and relaxation room for anyone to utilise was a lovely touch and the Cafe downstairs for breakfast was a lovely environment and very welcoming. I wanted a specific coffee and they refused to charge additionally for it which i also thought was very accommodating and parking was readily available at no extra charge. Room was comfortable and clean with water provided for free. I really cannot find any fault with this hotel or its staff and i highly recommend this hotel.

The bike theme. My partner is big on classic bikes so it was right up his street. Good to know we can put our bike in a secure place next time we will visit. We loved the lounge/kitchen area to sit and chill watching TV and have a few beers and Prosecco. The breakfast was great, good range of croissant’s ,yoghurts, cereals and juice easy and simple. We are coffee snobs, the coffee was amazing! They also have clothes and bike gear for sale, we bought a T-shirt 😃. Overall excellent value for money. We will be coming back again soon 👍👍

Loved the cleanliness and comfortableness of the bed and room. Some quirky bedroom furnishings. Shower room was toasty and very clean. Extra room available opposite to ours with extra refreshments and seating. Also a microwave. Good directions and ease of entrance to accommodation. Good communication from owners. The breakfast was downstairs in the cafe. Tasty continental. The history of the building was obvious and lots of things to look at. Friendly staff. Lovely outlook to the church opposite and the bells ringing.
